At SWIFT, our aim is to make the process of hiring as easy as can be, no matter what your needs. You're looked after every step of the way.

We've put together a simple guide to ensure your peace of mind when hiring a vehicle.

Before you hire

Contact us

Get in touch by phone or email to check availability and make a reservation. One of our friendly staff will be on hand to answer any questions.

Choose a vehicle

If you haven't already, take a look through what vehicles we have. If you're not sure, don't fret! The SWIFT team will help you choose a vehicle suited to your requirements, to ensure you are getting the best value for your money.

Secure your booking

To secure the vehicle you wish to hire, a £25 booking deposit is required (payable via debit/credit card when booking on the phone). You can also pay in full, if you like.

When you collect

Sort out the essentials

The person hiring will need to bring their Photocard Driving Licence (the paper part is no longer required) and a DVLA Licence Check Code. You might want to bring along a proof of address and your National Insurance number - this is so we can get a check code, if you don't already have one.

When collecting, you just need to pay the remaining balance of hire. This is the total cost of hire minus the booking deposit you paid.

Get to know the vehicle

The SWIFT team will give the vehicle a quick once-over to make sure everything's good to go. You will then be shown the operation of the vehicle to ensure you are happy with everything before you drive away.

Off you go!

Go about your business, and do what you need to do. Be sure to stay safe and operate the vehicle as we showed you.

Our opening hours and contact details, along with information for recovery will be on-board - just in case you need them.

When you've finished

Drop it back off

Make sure you're dropping the vehicle off when we're in! It might be a little embarrassing if you're sitting round for hours, waiting.

Be nice, and make sure you return the vehicle in the same condition it left in, otherwise you may be charged extra. When the SWIFT team are happy everything's as normal, you can be on your way and go about your normal business.

As with all hire companies, there are always some little bits at the bottom to read. SWIFT like to make things clear to understand, so there are no hidden surprises.

When you hire with us, there are a few things you need to know. There's nothing too complicated, so don't worry. Just have a read.
